ATLANTA – Written by Mel
Seemingly every major city in the United States has a set sense of style. New York definitely has its own fashion sense. Likewise, so does LA, Chicago, and Miami. When you mention any of these hot cities, there is a certain type of fashion that one can envision associated with these places. However, Atlanta – even though it is slowly becoming a “hot” city for fashion, there doesn’t seem to be a set style of fashion that can be considered the Atlanta style. Everywhere you turn in any major fashion savvy city across the United States or across the world, one can tell what that city’s style is. Let’s look at styles unique to specific cities around the world.
There are some trend-setters emerging here in Atlanta. Let’s take a look at some of what you may see in Atlanta.
I guess Atlanta’s style can be best described as urban eclectic (UrbEc) – the smooth southern gentleman style meets the urban chic style of the northern man. This cosmopolitan style is not a bad choice for Atlanta considering it is an international city in which so many people from the world over are converging to live. A century ago, there was a railroad line here that was called Terminus which by its very definition is “The End of the Line.” Perhaps this former description will pave the way for Atlanta’s new fashion sense – Terminus or the culmination of world styles into this emerging hot city.
